High Falls & Rough Run Falls

High Falls and Rough Run Falls are found along a comfortable trail about 8 miles from the Crossroads, north on 107 then left on Schoal Creek Mountain Road. A passing shower made crossing the rocks a bit treacherous, but we made it to our destination safely.

Hiking into the area, we passed a number of beautiful quaint falls.

 Painted Trilliums dot the trail in the usual pink and white hues, but this one was a vibrant red which is quite rare!
