At the top of the mountain, we stopped for a breather under a pavilion with a view. Lucy, the poodle, and Tweed the French Bassett enjoyed the cool breeze, too.

Brian used his handy Boy Scout Saw to cut a path through a huge fallen Rhododendron blocking our path.

The end of the hike was rewarded with a great picnic site on Cliffside Lake. Chester, the dog, balanced carefully on a fallen tree to where he had to figure out how he could turn around. The unseasonably warm weather and fabulous group of hikers made this hike very enjoyable indeed.
